Gua sha or "Graston" for Musculoskeletal Pain

Below is an article from the Washington Post explaining a traditional chinese treatment called gua sha.  This treatment has been transformed into many different techniques including the common chiropractic Graston Technique.  At Andolina Chiropractic & Rehab of Woodbridge we use Gua sha and Graston to treat many different forms of musculoskeletal injury.  Results are excellent and patients are amazed at the outcome.

  1. I have learned many things over the past 30 years of being in private practice. One thing I have learned is that no 2 people are alike when it comes to injury rehabilitation. One person may respond instantly while another takes longer due to frequent injuries and the accompanying accumulation of fibrotic tissue that is less than elastic.

When the same area has been injured repeatedly, inelasticity and contractures develop. My goal is to break loose those restrictions with the use of Active Release Chiropractic. ART is not massage therapy and it is not chiropractic.
